Constitution and Mission

We, Bethesda Community Church Inc. declare this to be our Constitution; written, approved, and signed by the charter membership of the body this 8th day of June, 2005.  Articles of Incorporation were previously filed with the state of Kentucky March 29th, 2005.

Bethesda Community Church was birthed based on the Scriptures of John chapter 5, verses 1 through 9.  Bethesda means 'house of mercy' and is associated with hope and healing; a place where God moves, and a place where one can experience His miracles and touch upon their life.  It is a place of rest and peace in the midst of the world's turmoil.  We are constituted to glorify God, to edify the name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, proclaim the Gospel to every living being.  We shall preach and teach the Gospel at all times, both in words and in action.

We shall be an autonomous and self governing body of believers, associated with the Southern Baptist Convention and her entities, and fundamentally subscribing to the beliefs contained in the Baptist Faith and Message.   Foremost, we affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and the basis for all doctrine and practice.

Our mission is to be a sanctuary of hope and healing, and to be a light which leads others into eternal salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
